Prince Philip Tells Automobile Crash Sufferer He Is ‘Deeply Sorry’

LONDON (AP) — Britain’s Prince Philip has apologized to a lady who was injured when the automobile she was using in collided with a Land Rover that he was driving.

The 97-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II instructed the girl he was “deeply sorry” that she was injured within the Jan. 17 collision.

Within the letter, revealed within the Sunday Mirror, Philip mentioned he was dazzled by the solar when he entered a foremost street close to the royal retreat in Sandringham in japanese England.

He wrote to Emma Fairweather, who suffered a damaged wrist within the crash, that “I can solely think about that I didn’t see the automobile coming, and I’m very contrite in regards to the penalties.”

Philip was unharmed though his automobile flipped over. He was not charged with any infraction and continues to drive.
